I bought my Half Pint in March of 2021, and up until today, have loved it and have had no real problems. I did lose my keys, called Yvonne at Pee Wee in Tennessee, and she quickly sent me replacements. Also called a few times with general questions, they always took my calls and answered my questions to my satisfaction. It’s been very easy to tow behind my Ford Ranger, 24.7 mpg hauling it back to Ohio from Wisconsin last year, 2022. Also, while camping in Door County, WI., we had HEAVY RAIN for several days, some tents and campsites were flooded, and I had NO issues with any kind of leakage in my little Half Pint. Only gave livability 3 stars because it’s not the type of camper you LIVE IN. It’s small and efficient and was bought to replace my tent, not to watch TV and take showers in!

I picked up this camper on January 14th, 2023. I've got to say it rides so smoothly on the truck you'll almost forget that it's there. It does not cause a huge drain on gas mileage. It also does not work. The 1st problem was the diesel Heater would not come on. After 10 attempts it finally did come and it clicked off at about 68゚ which is where I had set it. But then it never came back on again. Because the heater did not come back on again the lithium ion battery shut itself off because Lithium ion batteries will not work below 34゚F. Once the lithium ion battery ceased to work come up then the heater would not come back on again because it needs an electrical Ignition. I plugged in the camper and went out and bought a small space heater to heat my very expensive camper which I am now having to buy a space eater for. Got it warmed up enough to wear the battery would come on again but now the space heater would not work again. Called customer service after spending a couple hours looking for their phone number And was basically told that I need to call the people who manufacture the heater to see if they can get it to work. I was also offered the option that I can go on YouTube and watch videos about troubleshooting the heater to make it work again. I paid a lot of money for this camper I bought it brand new. I did not expect to have this many problems. Depending on where you live it is not always easy to find an authorized dealer to work on your scout camper. I am told that 1 option for the battery is to get a heating pad and plug it in to your battery thereby using up your battery power to keep your battery Warm enough so that your battery can stay powered long enough to keep your heating pad heating your battery. Since most eating pads in America click off after a certain number of hours as a safety feature you will need to babysit your battery. You will need to go out and unplug your heating pad and plug it back in. Of course another workaround could be that you get 10 hot water bottles and you use the propane stove to heat hot water and you fill the hot water bottles every few hours. And just stay in bed. I have now purchased a Dickenson heater to the tune of about a $1000 to put in my camper and was told by scout that this is a good idea because I can customize my camper to suit my main need is that I wanted the camper to work. But OK I am out a $1000 for a heater and I'm not sure yet how much the installation will be or even if installing it will void my warranty... Not that the warranty was doing me much good. After I install the $1000 heater I imagine that I will need to get a deep cell battery And have the entire unit rewired so that I have a battery that works in the cold. If you're never going to be anywhere that's very cold, or if you're always going to have shore power to plug in to...this may work for you. As for me I currently feel that I have bought a gigantic paper weight for the back of my truck.

I’ve had this unit for 3 months now and it’s gone or the shop for a few minor issues. Son bumped or opened the dometic fridge door incorrectly and broke the handle but it was covered under the warranty. Some of the seams where panels meet and where caulking is used is cracking but not a big deal.I think it’s a little expected with my off road use. The shower door screw at the bottom came undone and caused some issues but it just needed a larger screw to keep the frame together. One cabinet hinge is a little loose and needs some adjusting but that’s also expected. The batteries on the wireless switches caused the u to to jot power up so ensure you keep extra 27a batteries handy. The primary structure is very stout I just wished the drains were not in the rear where we have to be careful about departure angles while off road.

Great trailer for the backroads and can go almost anywhere. The articulating hitch takes lets the trailer move independently of the hitch, so you don't have to worry about a ball and hitch disconnecting over rough roads. Drop-in slot for a Domtetic or another cooler manufacturer with pre-wired power and slide out. There is also an exhaust fan in the cooler compartment. Awesome pullout grill and sink. The sink is powered by a Seaflow pump. Quick disconnects for water (hot/cold) as well as propane (hook up anything you desire). Tons of storage and all of it is lockable. The cage is very convenient as it keeps your gear from sliding around but also lets you lock it safely so that no one can get to your gear. The cage also articulates up fon struts or easy access, or you can use the side door. Great pricepoint for these cool little trailers.. 1/3 to half as expensive as some of the other overland brands.

Other than replacing the roof refrigerator vent, I've had zero problems with it. It's well built and a quality unit throughout. If I hadn't decided to look for a Retro model trailer, I'd never consider selling it. It pulls well and actually feels like a smaller unit despite its size. Very comfortable and nicely appointed inside with gorgeous outside graphics.
